'I really just don't know where to start with branding photos!'

I have procured so many new clients and business leaders just because they 'really don't know where to start with photos'.

Really... don't... know... where... to start...with..branding photos.

  • I see their faces start to cloud and so it's a reassurance thing.

  • One step at a time.

  • And I explain the ‘what it is’ and the ‘why you need it’ and the ‘how you use it’.

  • In steps they are comfortable with.

  • Everyone is different.

  • Some get it immediately.

  • Others take longer.

  • A bit like your clients, mine are also taking on new concepts and ways of thinking.

  • Then it's a slow release of information share to build together a vision and understanding.

'Wine time', is usually the time between 8ish - 930 pm of an evening. It’s a time when IF I was drinking wine (And I am sometimes!), I would open a bottle and take, say, a few questions. Sounds like I drink every night? I don't. These days it's probably a Tuesday night and then a weekend ( depending on the kind of week I have had, of course ;-) )

'Wine time' is when I have just stopped working, but my head is still open for business and brand-styled questions, or just a client catch up?

How's your dog, partner, podcast, thing going...?

And most importantly how are you...?

I'll randomly WhatsApp clients just to see how they are getting on with life in general. And if I can help them with any brand questions, you have my attention.

I like questions and I am happy to offer a bit of old fashioned encouragement and reassurance, I can do that and for free...Because I care about you getting image use right. I want my photographs to make impact for you. It’s a big deal to me.

I cannot bare the wasted opportunity of branding images sat tight in a folder doing absolutely nothing.

Visual (talking wth photos) is a whole new language… it takes time to intrepret and to understand. For some clients it takes a couple of shoots to really master it…or longer.

Your images have actual content and meaning and people are reading them constantly and subconsciously

  • Expressions have different interpretation

  • Body language can add power, mix your message or diminish your status. And certain body poses work better with different branding content.

  • Locations have connotations. You need to know how and when to use certain ones for maximisation of different types of content and impact.

It’s easy to read other peoples branding photography. We do it all the time. but try reading your own …it’s too close. You can’t be impartial. That’s where I can help you.

Crucially, if you aren’t a ‘visual’ person. It’s doesn’t have to stop you using brand photos.

You probably have someone in your organisation who blogs for you? I can teach them how to read images on your behalf.
