I love my role as a branding photographer for business coaches.
Business coaches and coaches in general have such a joyful approach to business and life in general. I shoot for many business coaches. And I call myself a branding photographer for business coaches as it is a distinct part of my client portfolio. I love these clients because they are thirsty for new ideas and excited by my enthusiasm. They are adventurous when you present them with off-grid visual ideas. And they love to grasp the language of visual. They are often quite amazed how much they can learn about image use!
Business coaches are super established but often haven't started using a visual language to a high level. They are sometimes quite wary about how they may look in photographs. They have to be presented at a premier level otherwise, like any business, they can lose their credibility and power easily.
When they finally view their image portfolios and start using them weekly, they then usually relax and quickly start to use them far more effectively than ever before. Business coaches just fly! 6-12 months later, they are hungry and back for more photos because they have seen the £-results on using professional photos for business and have noticed established growth in their business overall.
Branding photography for business coaches
Beki has a strong personal brand running through the life blood of her business. She visualises her lifestyle as enviable: a fluid way of working with few city ties. Her photos need to state this. She's a business coach working from a natural, rural and often coastal 'office'. She is advocating thoroughly ‘lifestyle’. Beki follows the summer festival season and will work from anywhere she can access an internet connection. Her home/office can vary from week to week but she continues to work and to coach during these periods. She promotes a footloose lifestyle, where a joy of life outweighs the hours that she works. She is highly active on her socials and teaches her clients strategies to progress an impressive and charismatic life style similar to her own. She leads by example and her photos were made to greatly illustrate that.
We selected a fantastic location on the Isle of Anglesey where she loves to take her family. It also shares stunning natural world scenery, both with forest and beach as backdrops. This ensures that we can create so much more inside her branding photographs.
Sartorial choices.. styled for your branding shoot?
I can't stress enough the importance of different outfits and sartorial choices in photos. We are highly visually driven and responsive. Clothing, colours and styles are great arresters in photographs. They can make one location look completely different, like a totally new shoot, just by a client changing to a different coloured T-Shirt. I always advocate at least 8 changes per shoot to really gain the very best of longevity of image use, throughout your business year.
The more diversity of clothing-colour and shapes, locational backdrops, inside and out, in nature, close up and long frames, the more increased overall interest and appeal and continued connection of potential clients to your branding photography.
These photographs, carefully planned and made on location, hugely elevate Beki’s brand and product offer. She stands above her many contemporaries who haven't invested in a professional branding shoot like this one.
